About

Greetings! You have come to the right place.

I am based in Cincinnati and I specialize in technique diagnostics for singing. Even in this day and age of remote voice lessons, I can assess what is going on mechanically and acoustically in your voice and give you individualized and tailored exercises to make exactly the adjustments you need, while educating you on exactly how your vocal mechanism works.

I started my studies in jazz, continued with opera, classical, and choral, spent some time in a metal band, and have done musical theatre, pop, and rock. I have been singing professionally for over 15 years, and have a team of superior teachers and coaches who I go to for my continuing education and consult with regularly. I’m a constant learner and I love the individual puzzle that each student is.

In my professional life I make my money in the classical sector, have sung in professional choirs at Episcopal cathedrals in Dallas and Nashville, currently sing for the Catholic Basilica in Cincinnati and have been in pro choirs such as Dallas Chamber Choir, Orpheus Chamber Singers, The Texas Voices, Orchestra of New Spain, Vermont Chamber Singers, Uptown Carolers (Dallas), Yuletide Carolers (Nashville), and sang with the Kurt Winklemann Jazz Trio (Portland, Maine.)

I have also travelled to sing in the Czech Republic, Austria, and South Korea, and have sung at ACDA and TCDA conferences in Dallas and San Antonio, respectively.

I went to the University of North Texas for voice, and Holyoke Community College for jazz vocal performance.

My teaching method is formed from the direction and guidance of my teacher, Jared Schwartz , and his teacher, David Jones (voiceteacher.com).

David Jones has pioneered what he calls the Swedish Italian Method and has been voraciously compiling the vast knowledge of master teachers, and teaching it to voice teachers, for nearly five decades. I was lucky enough to attend four Voice Teacher Mentorship seminars, live, in New York City in the two years prior to the pandemic, and have attended months of his seminars that have gone remote since. His incredible wealth of knowledge, aimed toward classical technique, I have adapted for complete beginners and singers of any genre: nearly all vocal concepts are simply anatomical, and it can all be broken down and taught!
