JUSTIN DUNN

Hello my name is Justin Dunn! 

I have extensive eperience as a musician and as a teacher on electric bass, upright (double) bass, and piano/keys. I have been playing for almost 15 years and have a 4-year jazz studies BA degree from the University of Vermont. During school, I also took many of the universities'  music education course offerings and learned how to teach as well. Music is my life's biggest passion and my full-time career. I have been a music director, a music teacher, and I play gigs at large and small venues, churches, bars, and restaurants regularly. 

My specialities are Jazz (On bass), as well as Gospel, Christian Contemporary, Pop, R&B, Funk and Rock on both piano/keys and bass, and music theory. 

In my off time, I love watching basketball, skiing, and taking photos of landscapes and people. I would be excited to get to know you and come alongside You on your musical journey!

My approach is simple: Teach you the songs that you want to learn while using each one of those songs as a tool to explore new techniques, music theory, improvisation, ear-training, rhythm, melody, and so much more! I hope that our lessons are as fun as they are educational and I will constantly adapt my teaching per-student as one plan does not fit all learning styles.
