About
I started violin at the age of 5 and having experience performing in orchestras and concerts since then. Since then, I have been involved in summer music programs as well as festival orchestras all over the world. As a current student at Lehigh University studying engineering and music, I continue to play in orchestras and ensembles. As a violin/viola tutor, I have taught for almost 4 years and have worked with a wide range of students from elementary to middle school students. I love music and teaching, and I look forward to helping you on your musical adventure!
I believe that building a strong foundation is important. I’ll use scales, exudes, and songs from Suzuki books to ensure students are always progressing. Having worked with young students for the past three years, I’ll ensure that my students truly learn to enjoy the instrument they play and become passionate musicians.
I play in the Lehigh University Philharmonic Orchestra as a violist and have played in several music festival orchestras. I also have passed the ABRSM Level 8 exam for violin with distinction and have completed the Classical Music course by Yale University.
For violin and viola, I would strongly recommend the Suzuki Series books along with any supplemental music that the student is playing music that they enjoy while building a strong foundation.
