About
Hi. My name is Kaden Lamberth and I am a marching drummer. I am giving online classes for those in need of help of drumming. I have experience of more than 5+ years of marching snare and 3 years of marching tenor. I only speak English. I am currently still in high school as of right now and looking to go to college after high school, as well as to enlist in the air force. I am open to teaching any percussive instrument, marching wise and will go all out to help!
Teaching Style
Firstly, I approach techniques like traditional grip or match grip. Then I listen out for quality of sound and stick control. After that, I continue to play sheet music, mainly to test my sight reading ability or to learn the music. When I get introduced to the students, I want to ask beforehand if they want to learn competitive drumming or casual high school marching.
Curriculum
My way of teaching is: first, I will teach them the importance of holding the sticks correctly, either it be traditional grip or normal match grip, and we will go over how to do so. Second. I will play a rhythm for the student and allow them to play it back to me. If they do, to where I hear and see them play correctly, we move on. If they mess up, we will go over it again. Lastly, we will begin to learn to read music. Reading music is important when it comes to playing the drums, due to the fact that the drumline has to learn the music and play it correctly to be uniform with everyone else.
