About

Hi there! I started playing piano at the age of 4 and have loved it ever since. I have completed the Australian Music Examination Board's Certificate of Performance and The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in eighth grade and have furthered my musical journey as a piano tutor. I am also a graduate of the University of New South Wales. I have been teaching piano privately for 11 years and have taught various types of students from different backgrounds and ages ranging from 5 years old to 45 years old. My lesson plans are all individually tailored to every student as I believe no one person learns the same way. Each lesson is unique and exciting which will gradually improve your musical skills and achieve the goals we have set since lesson one. Lessons are comprehensive, covering areas such as technical work, theory, aural, sight reading and musical fundamentals.

As opposed to learning one particular piece of music, I believe learning an instrument should be a lifelong skill. Therefore, my lessons are a gradual build up of musical knowledge that will stay with a student for life. So that one day if they terminate piano lessons they are still able to play any piece they desire without the company or assistance of a tutor.

Intuition is my biggest strength. I am able to identify my students’ strengths and weaknesses and individually tailor each lesson. Tackling their weaknesses with patience through various approaches to ensure they have a strong foundation in their musical knowledge and piano playing techniques. Goals and targets are clearly communicated between students and sometimes parents to ensure they are satisfied while reaching their full potential!
