Kareem Devlin
About
Kareem "Jesus" Devlin is a professional guitarist, artist and producer. He was given the nickname "Jesus" by Lady Gaga while playing lead guitar on the Monster Ball Tour and working on the Born This Way album. He has performed on on TV shows including SNL, The Today Show, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live and many more. In addition to work with Lady Gaga he has worked with many bands, singer songwriters and producers including Nile Rodgers, Danielia Cotton, Sophie B. Hawkins and others.
Working with guitarists from beginning children to advanced adult levels, he focuses on the development of each player's own unique sound and style with a focus on pop/rock styles. Although every student is unique, one of the areas he likes to focus on is developing a voice on the instrument through call and response blues phrasing. While working on the development of technical ability, he also encourages the development of each musician as an individual artist and performer.
