Kassandra Juarez
About
My name is Kassandra Juarez, and I am a vocalist and violinist. I have been singing recreationally for 20 years and professionally for 16 years. I have also been playing the violin for 16 years, with a strong focus on mariachi, and have been a mariachi musician for 16 years as well.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in mariachi and classical voice/music education, and I am currently completing my master’s degree in Violin/Music Education this semester.
I have been fortunate enough to perform at venues all across the country. Some of these include the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California; the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California; the Beacon Theatre in New York, New York; Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois; and the Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, among many others. I have also performed in cities such as Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; Tucson, AZ; The Villages, FL; Ann Arbor, MI; and San Antonio, TX, as well as numerous other locations.
Throughout my career, I have had the honor of accompanying “La Reina de la Música Ranchera,” Aida Cuevas, on multiple occasions, including serving as a violinist on her “Yo Creo Que Es Tiempo” tour in 2022. I have also accompanied legendary Mexican artist Pedro Infante’s granddaughter, Lupita Infante, and opened for Vikki Carr in 2017. Additionally, I was one of Angela Aguilar’s violinists on her “Piensa En Mi” tour in 2023.
I currently hold my teaching certification in the state of Texas and am a mariachi teacher at an award-winning high school in South Texas.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each individual student. I focus on building a strong technical foundation in healthy vocal production, breath control, tone, and range, while also helping students develop confidence and musical expression.
I work with singers of all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced students, and adjust my approach based on each student’s goals—whether that’s improving vocal technique, preparing for performances or auditions, or simply gaining confidence in their voice.
Because of my background in mariachi and classical voice, I also incorporate stylistic coaching, helping students understand how to sing with authenticity, emotion, and proper technique across different genres, with a specialization in mariachi vocals.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable, challenged, and excited to grow.
What to expect in a lesson:
Each lesson is structured but flexible based on your needs. We typically begin with vocal warm-ups and exercises to build technique, followed by working on songs of your choice or repertoire I recommend based on your goals. I provide clear, practical feedback and exercises you can apply immediately, so you continue improving even outside of lessons. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you’ll leave each lesson with a better understanding of your voice and how to use it confidently.
Curriculum
My teaching method is technique-based and goal-oriented, focusing on healthy vocal development through structured exercises, vocal warm-ups, and applied repertoire. I tailor all materials to each student’s level, voice type, and musical interests to ensure steady and effective progress.
Rather than relying on a single textbook, I incorporate a variety of exercises and methods drawn from classical vocal pedagogy, ear training, and stylistic coaching, along with personalized materials and song selections.
Students are encouraged to bring in songs they enjoy, and I also provide repertoire recommendations based on their goals, including mariachi and classical styles.
