About
Viola/Violin teacher and performer in the Philly area. ... To say music is my life-long passion would be an understatement--from the first time I picked up an instrument at the age of 4, to getting my B.M. from The Cleveland Institute of Music and my M.M. from Peabody Conservatory (both in Viola Performance), to now teaching and performing full-time. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have a passion for pedagogy and love finding the exact right approach for every student I work with.
Teaching Style
I am passionate about pedagogy, methodology, and finding the right approach for the right student. With over 20 years of teaching experience across a variety of formats (private lessons, group classes, chamber music coaching, orchestra sectionals, etc.), and having taught in over 25 countries to a wide range of cultures, I love the puzzle of finding the right approach for each and every student I work with. It's vitally important to me to find the right explanation, technique, or exercise to help set my students up for success--not only to give them the right tools for their approach, but to also help them feel empowered to grow as a musician.
