Kaushik Manikandan
About
I started teaching at an early age of 18, having always been someone adept at explaining difficult things to understand very easily, i quickly grew to becoming the Assistant director of Music at a school by helping out with forming curriculum, building custom lesson plans for different students. I would then go on to teach at various different schools, both private and public through non profits to share my methods and to ensure students get the right education through fun ways. It has been over 10 years since i first started teaching and I have been updating my curriculum and lesson plans since! I have experience teaching all ages!
Teaching Style
My teaching style is focused very much on what the student wishes to learn. Having a set guide of progression is necessary but not when forced upon. My style involves exploring music together, understanding the thought process behind different pieces of music and applying concepts in fun innovative ways. I have also designed many musical games that are fun and help students remember things better. With every student I put together a custom lesson plan that is designed to show yardsticks and milestones for the student in how they are moving forward with their instrument. I also follow books and certification guidelines for students who wish to pursue higher music education.
