I believe that you will be successful when you enjoy learning and have something concrete to show for it. It is my privilege to work with you to achieve your goals in an encouraging, fun, hard-working environment.

I have worked with many different types of students, some enjoy playing for personal enjoyment, while some prefer the performance route. I've been trained and worked with students of all abilities and am able to adapt my teaching to your unique needs. In my experience, successful students share two qualities: a willingness to try something new and consistency. With these two, you accomplish anything!

I will use whatever you have and I am willing to make suggestions.

For beginning through  intermediate students, I like to use the Blocki Method books 1,2,3  or Flute 101 and Flute 102 by George and Louke.  I enjoy supplementing with music that you and I will choose together.

For advanced students, I use various etude books based on your strengths and weaknesses, along with standard flute repertoire in solo and chamber music working our way through the musical genres and ages learning correct performance practices.
