Hello! I’m Kevin Stever. I am a multi instrumentalist , professional musician, arranger, producer and music educator residing in the sunny state of Florida. I have a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Central Florida. I majored in music with a minor in Spanish. I have been teaching for over 30 years. I taught music theory at Full Sail University for over 10 years and taught bass at Seminole State College. My primary instruments are upright bass, electric bass, guitar and Accordion. I am also fluent on piano and cello. I enjoy teaching, I am patient, and I love beginning students. I also enjoy teaching music theory to musicians Both beginning and experienced. I can teach music theory from beginning to advanced level. I speak English and Spanish and also teach Conversational Spanish. I enjoy playing all styles of music and currently work as a musician playing pop, jazz, Latin, Rock, country and theater. I occasionally play a classical music job. I currently work as a full time musician in the Central Florida and spend most of my days playing at the Walt Disney World Resort and surrounding area.
As a teacher I am patient and encouraging and I love when people want to learn music. I am also happy to adapt to what you want to achieve and learn. Depending on the student, I can be fun and laid-back or serious and strict. As a teacher I bring over 35 years of professional playing experience to the table in all kinds of playing situations and have had Students of all ages in almost every Personality type. During my time at Full Sail University, I underwent multiple hours of training to adapt to any type of learning style. I would love to give you a free introductory lesson.
