About

Krishnik has been actively making music for the past eight years and has worked professionally within the Indian music industry for the last three. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production from the True School of Music (Vijaybhoomi University) —one of India’s most esteemed contemporary music institutions. Since graduating, he has been freelancing full-time as a music composer and producer based in Mumbai, contributing music to advertisements, films, and independent projects while collaborating with leading composers across the industry.

As a freelance music composer and producer since December 2023, Krishnik has worked with acclaimed artists and composers such as Sneha Khanwalkar, Dhruv Ghanekar, Aditya N., Nayantara Bhatkal, Pranay Parti, Gaurav Godkhindi, Samyukta Narendran, and Khamosh Shah, in addition to composing independently for advertising films. Alongside this, he has been offering professional mixing and mastering services on another platform since January 2023, having mixed and mastered over 30 songs for clients worldwide.

In parallel with his freelance work, Krishnik has been working on original music as an independent artist, handling every aspect of the creative process—from writing and composition to production and mixing. He has also performed live across major venues in Mumbai and Bangalore, including the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), AntiSocial, Fandom, and Veranda.

Additionally, Krishnik served as a Teacher’s Assistant at the True School of Music from April to June 2023, where his responsibilities included developing coursework and evaluating student submissions, further strengthening his foundation in music education and academic mentorship.

Teaching Style

He follows a highly adaptive teaching approach, tailoring his methods to suit each individual student rather than applying a one-size-fits-all formula. His sessions are practical and hands-on, with minimal lecturing and a strong emphasis on experimentation. Instead of overloading students with theory, he encourages learning through doing—exploring sounds, techniques, and ideas in real time. His goal is to guide students toward discovering concepts on their own as they progress, building intuition and confidence along the way. Mistakes are not only welcomed but actively encouraged, as he believes that in music, errors often become the foundation for originality and memorable ideas. Through this process, students learn to trust their instincts and develop a unique creative voice.

Curriculum

There are no compulsory textbooks. Learning is primarily driven by practical exercises, listening, and hands-on experimentation. Supplementary materials may be suggested based on the student’s interests and level, including reference guides, selected articles, tutorials, and curated listening material. Custom resources and examples are shared during lessons to support individual learning goals.
