As an avid violinist since age 3, it has always been clear to me that music is my passion. I spent age 3-16 nurturing this passion by practicing daily and studying weekly with professional violinists, including the Concertmaster of the past Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra, Michael Hanson, as well as many other violinists for this Philharmonic and other local music associations. I was a member of the Colorado Springs Youth symphony for several years, and was awarded the title of Concertmaster in my division during the 2010 season. Although I have since decided to take other professional paths in my adult life, I have never stopped playing the violin, and the time in my life has come, that I am ready to share my passion for violin with a new generation, and anyone who is curious and ready to learn a fun and beautiful new instrument. 

Lessons are intended for beginner and intermediate youth and adult violinists.



The method of teaching that I employ is the same method that my own teachers employed when I was a student. My students are guided through each piece in the progression of the Suzuki method for violin, with supplemental exercise material, based on skill level.

Lessons will consist of warm-ups and site reading practice from exercise material, recital of a piece or portion of  piece as assigned during previous lesson,  then we will work intensively on perfecting the piece or segment in order to complete or move forward in the composition. Once the student is able to play the piece with ease, we will move forward with the next piece in the Suzuki book, while the student also may work to memorize the finished piece.
