About

For the past four years, Ms. Gwyn has been teaching adults and children of all ages.  Ms. Gwyn is a 2014 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) where she received a Bachelor of Music Degree with a concentration in Music Industry. Later she received her master's degree in Violin Performance in May of 2017 from Illinois State University (ISU).  While at ISU, Ms. Gwyn became heavily involved in an after-school music program called String Project.  Through this program, she discovered her love for teaching the violin and has continued to give private lessons ever since.
For the past two years, Ms. Gwyn also  performed with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, and served as the Associate Concertmaster of the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Gwyn recently moved back to her home state of Georgia to be closer to family.  She performs with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra and the Generation Fusion Quartet. She also serves as a substitute violin teacher at the Lawrence-Suwanee School of Music.  Overall, Ms. Gwyn enjoys teaching her students, playing in symphony orchestras, making studio recordings, and giving solo violin performances.
