Hi! My name is Kyle
I started my musical journey playing in church from a young age, which opened doors for me to perform alongside various artists and groups such as Asia Beat, Yuna, Bunga Citra Lestari, Talitha, Claudia Tan, and Lost Spaces.
I’m a performing drummer, currently playing with my band RESORT, who performed at Good Vibes Festival 2023 (Malaysia) and LALALA Festival 2025. I’ve had the opportunity to share stages with international artists including The 1975, Sabrina Carpenter, Daniel Caesar, LANY, Camila Cabello, Keshi, and The Black Eyed Peas.

In terms of teaching, I run my own personal music studio, offering lessons both locally and internationally — from KL, Ipoh, and Sabah to students in the UK, Dubai, and Australia. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re a complete beginner, an intermediate player, or looking to level up as a performing musician.

Teaching Style
I focus a lot on connection and making students feel comfortable from the start. I’ve been a student myself, so I understand how different everyone learns.
My lessons are personalised to each individual — whether it’s building strong fundamentals, improving feel and groove, or working towards real-world playing situations. I always try to meet students where they’re at and help them grow at their own pace.
Curriculum
My teaching approach is personalised to each student, focusing on building strong fundamentals, groove, timing, and musicality in a practical and enjoyable way. Lessons are structured around the student’s goals — whether that’s learning songs, improving technique, or preparing for live performance.
I use a mix of exercises, song-based learning, and real-world playing concepts. I may also recommend practice materials or exercises depending on the student’s level, but I don’t rely on a one-size-fits-all textbook approach.
