About

Laura grew up with a great love for music and finds joy in sharing and cultivating that passion in others. She has degrees from Brevard College (BM) and the University of Colorado, Boulder (MM) along with the Certificate of Vocology at the National Center for Voice and Speech in Salt Lake City. She's had the amazing privilege of both singing and teaching internationally in Germany, Tunisia, China and Chile and have served on several voice and music faculties, most recently at CU Denver and the International College of Beijing. Some favorite performances as either a soloist or ensemble alto include the International Bach Akademie, Oregon Bach Festival, Colorado Bach Ensemble and the Charlotte Bach Festival.

As a singer who has undergone years of vocal trauma, two vocal surgeries and habilitation, Laura has a deep level of understanding the emotional and physical tolls that vocal pathologies can bring. When working with singers, she incorporates her experience, education and the Alexander Technique to guide singers as they cultivate awareness and connect to their natural vocal abilities, helping them find their voice again.

Whether you’re learning an operatic role, preparing for All-State auditions, or just singing for fun, lessons help students connect and develop their own voice and natural talents while ingraining a knowledge of technique and physiology that will serve them everyday.
