Leonor Rodrigues
About
Hi, I’m Leonor Rodrigues, a professional violinist, violist, and music educator. I hold a degree in Instrumental Pedagogy from the University of the Arts in Berlin and have taught students of all ages and levels internationally, including in Germany, Argentina, and Portugal.
My teaching approach is personalized – I tailor each lesson to meet the specific needs and goals of my students. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, I focus on building solid technique while keeping lessons fun and engaging.
I offer lessons in both violin and viola, and I can assist with preparation for exams, orchestra, concerts, or simply improving your musical expression. I’m excited to work with you and help you reach your musical goals!
Teaching Style
The learning of an instrument should be a joyful experience. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on creating a positive, relaxed environment where each student feels comfortable and motivated to learn.
I emphasize building a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity and personal expression through music.
I aim to foster a love for the instrument, and I adapt my approach depending on the individual student, their goals, and their learning pace. Whether it’s exploring new pieces, practicing technique, or preparing for performances, I always strive to make lessons enjoyable.
Curriculum
My teaching method combines traditional techniques with modern approaches. I use well-established pedagogical books such as Suzuki, Ševčík, and Flesch for technique, along with etude books and repertoire appropriate for each student's level. Everything always approached in a dynamic and intuitive playful way.
I also encourage ear training and improvisation, allowing students to develop their musicality alongside technical skills.
