Hi! My name is Lianne and I have been singing and teaching in New York City for the past 10 years. I recently moved to the Midwest to pursue a degree in Speech Pathology with a focus in vocal disorders and production. This will only enhance my goal of helping students to not only love singing, but find their healthiest and most authentic sound. My favorite opera role is Gilda in Rigoletto and my favorite musical roles are Maria in West Side Story and Belle in Beauty and the Beast. I also love to sing religious solo works with full chorus and orchestra. I have sung in German, French, Italian, Latin and Spanish and love learning about languages and cultures. My teaching style is fluid as each student has a particular style of learning. My main objective is to create a safe and fun environment for learning and to help you find the healthiest sound with the least amount of effort or strain. We will work together to find a relaxed posture, flexible connection to your breath, and free expression of sound. Voices are like finger prints, no two in the world are the same which is what makes them so beautiful. I love helping students find their voice and confidence to express themselves!
