Lina Ortega

Hola! My name is Lina and I am a Colombian heels and twerk instructor. Growing up I trained in many styles including ballet, tap, jazz and modern. As an adult I discovered pole dancing and immediately fell in love. I was always in shock of everything my body could do. I loved the confidence and strength it gave me and through pole dancing I found heels and twerk. Just like pole dancing, heels and twerk constantly show me how limitless and incredible my body is. 

I have lived and taught in the US, Colombia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Morocco. I have worked with students of all ages and all backgrounds. My goal as a dance instructor is to help students feel empowered and comfortable in their own skin. Besides a longtime dance instructor, I am also a qualified personal trainer, which I feel is one of the things that really sets me apart. With my knowledge of the human body and understanding of how it works, I am able to clearly explain what your body should be doing when executing a step. Students tend to find this extremely helpful and it makes the learning process easier for so many. 

My top priority is that you finish a session feeling amazed with yourself and all that you can do! I want to give you tools to help you feel powerful. Besides teaching dance technique, my teaching style is to help you find your own unique style,  in order to make every step and choreography yours. Beyond being your teacher, I will be your biggest cheerleader. I want to encourage every student to find and live up to all of their potential as a dancer!
