About

I have been teaching wheat weaving and straw art for over 25 years.

In 2009, Stackpole Publishing released my book, Wheat Weaving and Straw Art in their series: Heritage Crafts Today.  I am a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.  I have been on the Roster of Artists in Education with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the roster of Young Audiences of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Through these organizations, I have taught residencies of 5-20 days and one day workshops in schools.   I have taught at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina.  I have taught at the annual convention of the National Association of Wheat Weavers' Conventions.  Currently I have been teaching via Zoom for the National Association of Wheat Weavers, the California Guild of Straw Artists, and a group of Straw Workers from Scotland.

Juried member of Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and two of their local chapters, Reading-Berks Chapter and Lancaster Designer Craftsmen

I would recommend my book, Wheat Weaving and Straw Art or any book authored by Morgyn Owens-Celli.

Required:  A mailed box of supplies for an introduction to straw art is required.  Cost of the introduction box is $25.00.
