About

I'm a professional baritone and vocal coach based in Belgrade, Serbia, with over ten years of experience performing on national and international opera stages. My teaching is built entirely on what I've had to make work under real conditions in rehearsals, in auditions, and in front of live audiences across Serbia, Montenegro, and Bulgaria. I hold a Master's degree in Opera Singing from the University of Belgrade, and I've sung more than 25 operatic roles at houses including the National Theatre Belgrade, the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, and the Muzički Centar Crne Gore in Podgorica. I bring all of that stage experience directly into the lesson room, because I believe the best vocal teaching is grounded in what performance actually demands.

Teaching Style

I work with singers of all levels from curious beginners to conservatory-track students as well as actors who want stronger vocal presence, projection, and freedom of expression. My approach is direct, patient, and always tailored to the individual. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all methods or in overwhelming students with jargon. Instead, I focus on helping you understand what your voice is actually doing, why it does it, and how to work with it rather than against it. Every lesson is built around your voice, your goals, and where you are right now. Whether you're preparing for an audition, working through a specific technical challenge, or just starting to explore your instrument, we go at your pace with clear direction and real results.

Curriculum

My teaching method is built around one core idea: every voice is different, and the work should reflect that. Whether you're an opera singer, a musical theatre performer, a pop or rock vocalist, a public speaker, or simply someone who wants to feel more comfortable and confident using their voice, the approach adapts to you not the other way around.

At the foundation of every lesson is breath. Everything in singing and in vocal performance begins with how you breathe and how you support sound, so we always come back to that, regardless of your style or level. From there, we work on resonance and tone quality, range and register transitions, diction and clarity across languages, and the connection between technical freedom and genuine expression. For singers working on specific repertoire, we bring all of that technique directly into the music. For speakers and actors, the focus shifts toward projection, presence, and using the voice without strain or tension.

I draw on principles from the Italian bel canto tradition, which has shaped healthy vocal technique for centuries and applies just as well to a pop song as it does to a Verdi aria. I also incorporate elements from speech-language approaches to breath and resonance, making the work accessible even to students who have never had a formal lesson in their life. For those who want to go deeper into vocal science and pedagogy, I recommend Richard Miller's The Structure of Singing and Oren Brown's Discover Your Voice as excellent foundational texts.

Lessons are practical, clear, and focused on real progress. My goal in every session is that you leave understanding something about your voice that you didn't understand before — and that you can actually feel the difference.
