Lukas Fellner

I have been a professional drummer for more than a decade now. Living in Vienna, Austria, I work both locally and internationally as a touring and studio drummer as well as a drum teacher of different age groups and levels (one-on-one lessons and workshops). I graduated with honors in both drumset performance and pedagogy in jazz/popular music and have since collaborated with many acclaimed artists across a multitude of genres, ranging from jazz, funk/soul and hiphop to pop, rock and contemporary classical music as well as various folk music styles from Central and Eastern Europe.

The primary goal of my lessons is to make sure you get all the tools you need to work towards your individual goals, and help you get there as quickly as possible, whether you are just starting to play drums and want to play in your first band, or you are an intermediate level player or college student/professional and want to dive into a specific topic in depth. We will work on techniques and different approaches that are useful in every style or musical situation, work on your creativity and versatility on the kit, topics like groove, improvisation, independence, sound etc.
