About
I am a Musical Theatre graduate from The Musical Theatre Academy of London. I'm 24 years old, from Portugal and based in London for 4 years. For 7 years I have taught Drama, Music Theory, Singing and Dancing at various schools to children of 3 to 18 years old and adults. I have a diploma in Classical Singing from the National Conservatory in Portugal with an advanced level of Music Theory. I can play the piano to an Intermediate Level which helps lead the Singing Lessons. Musical Theatre and Jazz Voice are definitely my forte. But this year I'm also releasing my first EP. I've loved composing since I was in music school and I'm finally putting my music out in the world!
Teaching Style
I would describe the way I teach as Energetic, Adaptable and Approachable. I have a diploma in Classical Singing from the National Conservatory (Lisbon), two Diplomas in Musical Theatre (London), and a lot of experience in Jazz Improvisation and Composition as well as teaching.
Curriculum
I teach a Vocal warm up every lesson with focus on stability and extension. A very extensive belly breathing explanation and Exercises.
Exercises with all the Vowels and Consonants. Style exercises. Belting technique and Head Voice technique as well as finding a Mix with the student.
Then I'll help the student sing the song with ease and confidence, applying our technical work!
I also teach Music Theory with base on the ABRSM Theory Grades.
