I have been playing and teaching for many years. I have a B.A. in music from Sonoma State University and I also studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I play many styles of music including jazz, classical, pop, Celtic and world music. If you are a beginner or just want to improve your musical skills I can help you get to the next level.
Teaching Style
I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of individual students. Lessons will usually include working on songs and exercises to build technique. I let my students choose the songs they want to learn and I also suggest pieces. Music theory can be covered if the student wants.
Curriculum
Depending on the instrument and the interests of each student we will use various teaching methods and materials. I will provide most of the materials including music, exercises etc.
Credentials & Affiliations
BA in Music from Sonoma State University. I have been teaching various instruments at a local music school for over 7 years.
