Teaching Style
My teaching philosophy combines the rigorous traditions of European conservatories with a highly personalized, encouraging approach. As an active Principal Clarinetist in a government orchestra, I bring real-world performance insights directly into our lessons. Students can expect a structured environment where we focus not just on playing the right notes, but on mastering tone production, breath control, and true musical expression. Whether you are a beginner building a solid foundation or an advanced player preparing for professional auditions, I tailor my methodology to fit your unique learning style and pace, ensuring that every lesson is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Curriculum
One of my greatest strengths as an educator is my expertise in the UK syllabus, specifically ABRSM practical and music theory exams (Grades 1-8). I have a proven track record of guiding students to pass their exams with high marks. Beyond exam preparation, I specialize in helping students overcome performance anxiety, refine their articulation, and develop a rich, professional sound on both the Clarinet and Saxophone. My ultimate goal is to equip you with the technical skills, theoretical knowledge, and artistic confidence needed to become a fully independent and expressive musician.
