About

Hello, my name is Maren Elliott! I am a current college student studying violin performance. I have played the violin since I was four years old, and over the years I have played in many symphonies and participated in many competitions. Music has always been a great joy in my life. My goal is to share my love of music and the violin with my students.

Teaching Style

I have 3 years of experience teaching violin. I teach all levels from kids to adults. I am experienced in teaching technique, music theory, and musicality. I love teaching, and want to help my students achieve their goals. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced player, I can help you progress and advance on your musical journey. I am experienced in teaching the basics of the violin, how to read music, or how to add finesse to playing. In my teaching, I aspire to incorporate fun and interesting learning techniques. Learning to play the violin is difficult and takes a lot of hard work, but it is very rewarding to be able to play beautiful music! I believe that the key to success when learning the violin is consistency. Consistent practice and repetition are what allow a student to get better and advance. It takes self-discipline and dedication to maintain the level of consistency needed to succeed at learning the violin, but I believe that every student has the ability to achieve this. I am excited to make music together!
