I'm a sound engineer with both Bachelors and Masters degrees. I'm also a professional singer-songwriter and artist with my own project (Mari Segura), which you can find on all music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc. I write all songs for my own project besides writing for other artists as well, from several different music genres.
I've lived in 7 countries, which has allowed me to speak five languages fluently. Spanish and English at a native level, Portuguese (both Brazilian and Portuguese) at an academic level, and Italian and German at a very good level as well.
I have experience teaching and tutoring since I was still in high school (almost 10 years). I'm very patient and intuitive. I'm dedicated and I will give it my all to make sure you are motivated and really absorbing the material.
I like to get to know each student personally and identify the level that they are starting at in order to move forward from there. I like to create a teaching plan specifically for each student and each topic being taught. Making sure that all the information is truly being comprehended and absorbed by the student, so we can build up on it class by class. Not only giving the information but truly explaining the "why" behind everything we are working on, so the student can really understand what we are doing and not only how to do it. I believe this method works best to retain the information learned in the long term.
