From thereon, Mrs. Loenen upheld her to become well-equipped in music and prepared her for a Premier Solo Recital in 1994. For my 30 years of teaching experience, I used to implement proper approach to each student because I believe that each student is a unique individual, incomparable, thereby, I need to adjust with its different behavior. Learning is a non-stop process, That's why I've incorporated my Nursing degree in my Music profession by imposing the highest method and strategies so that, my student can grasp effectively the different technique in learning the instrument. In music, "Interest" is the best education so, my style is to implement proper technique and method of teaching to enhance the student's interest in music. I do explain the body of music to catch the attention and interest of my student. Of course, I can check the student's ability and learning by asking him/her some questions. That two-way communication process will help me meet the needs of my student in studying music.

Maritess P. Ibon is currently a proprietor and mentor of Franz Liszt Music Academy, a Piano teacher, pedagogue, collaborating artist, a Music teacher at Bicol Institute of Biblical Studies, a music directress & accompanist at Glorious Gospel Baptist Church & Cuerdas group of musicians, Music Camp Directress. Currently taking up Doctor of Musical Arts (Piano Performance) from Saint Paul University - Manila.

Her teaching method is to lay first a good foundation in music by enhancing the Fundamentals of Music: Music Theory, Solfege, Ear Training then, incorporate the Technique & Artistry in the particular instrument. In this manner, the student can understand the whole anatomy of music that will lead the student into the right track. Teaching music is like building a house by which I lay the foundation first firmly so that, when the student advances, he/she may not find it difficult. It's an opposite of building a house with a poor foundation and later on, the student suffers. Having a quality method of teaching will lead to student's quality learning experience.
