About
Hi, my name is Mark Allee, professional musician and educator.
I am a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and I am thankful to have shared the stage with legendary musicians including Stevie Wonder, Sammy Hagar, John Legend, John Mayer, Justin Bieber and Drake. I have played with artists in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Nashville, where I am based, with Maggie Rose, Phenix Red, Matt Rogers and other country and rock acts. I also performed internationally in Holland America's Rolling Stone Rock Room on cruise ships in the Caribbean and Europe. I have also trained actors for movie roles including The Runaways and a live version on Yellow Submarine.
My focus is on music education of kids 5 and older, teaching them to play drums and guitar. I have over 20 years of experience working with children of all age groups through my own teaching practice and programs such as School of Rock and Los Angeles based Rock Star Music Education. I have been a Nashville resident since 2014 and offer individual lessons as well as group lessons and would love to help keep your child engaged and having fun, enjoying the process of learning a musical instrument.

My teaching style is interactive, fun and with a very clear understanding of how each individual student learns differently. Very empathic and understanding of each circumstance.
My foundation is the idea that the end goal is to play music and have fun doing so, but not to over look the importance of hard work, practice and that nothing comes easy.

I teach using a wide range of resources, mostly from over 20 years of experience, but have used all those references to customize the approach from studemt to student. When that particular student is ready, I introduce them to a wide variety of books from all levels of reading and techniques. In a nut shell its all a case by case basis.
