Masha Spaic
About
My name is Masha. I am a musicologist from Serbia. I have a graduate and master diploma in the theory of arts – musicology from the University of Arts, Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Serbia. Currently, I am doing a Ph.D. at the same Faculty. Even though the focus of my studies was musicology and theory of arts, I started learning music through piano lessons at a very young age, and for fifteen years of my schooling, the piano was my main focus. During that time, I regularly participated in national and international piano competitions, and I performed in the main concert halls in Belgrade.
I have one year of experience working in elementary school teaching music, and two years of experience as a Graduate Student Teacher of music history at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where I am currently working in the same position. I also have two years of experience in the field of children's education in art and music, and I have been teaching private lessons of piano and theory of music for four years.
Teaching Style
My teaching idea is rooted in a strong emphasis on music fundamentals whilst respecting each students' vision, opinions, and style.
When it comes to the lessons of the theory of music, thanks to my knowledge and experience, I can teach you about the history of music, theory of music, theory of arts, music harmony, and musical form. I can teach you about the style of different composers from different epochs or the specific characteristics of chosen composition. Also, I can help you to have a better understanding of classical music, or to help you play stylistically correctly your favorite classical music pieces.
When it comes to piano lessons, I will teach you to play the piano - whether you have zero experience of playing or you need help preparing for exams, auditions, or concerts. I can help you improve your technique or correct your playing style.
I hold online webcam classes to make our lessons productive, interactive, and creative. For any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
