Megan Drevits
About
Megan has eight years of experience as a private lesson instructor, and she has also taught a wide variety of group music classes to students ranging in age from preschool to college. In addition to teaching, Megan has welcomed the opportunity to accompany fellow musicians at every stage of her musical development and career, from a position as a church choir accompanist while in high school to her current opportunities to accompany student and community choral groups and soloists. She believes that collaborating with other musicians has helped her to grow artistically and to get to know many creative and inspiring musicians.
Megan loves helping students discover and develop their individual musical talents. In her teaching, she seeks to balance her own pedagogical knowledge and experience with the unique interests and desires of her students. She believes that students are much more likely to be successful if they feel excited about their own progress and abilities, and she therefore strives to keep lessons fun and fulfilling.
