Hi! I am a piano teacher and founder of Master Piano Academy PR. My goal as a teacher is to teach you technique, theory and performance skills while having fun! I teach all ages and absolutely love beginners (I teach other levels too, so don't worry :P). Do you like popsongs, classical pieces, videogame and movie soundtracks? I can teach you that and much more. Why not have fun while learning something new like playing the piano? I'm a music major with a specialty in Jazz & Latin genres. I have a music performance BM from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. My piano professors include Carmen N. Marrero, who currently has a jazz trio known as Caffezz, Ismael Rodriguez Ponsa, who has been an amazing mentor and one of the best professors in the entire campus. I've been playing the piano since I was a teenager, but I fell in love with teaching when I was finally given the opportunity at Commonwealth Parkville School, as a piano teacher during the afterschool programs. I plan lessons specifically catered to each student's musical needs and wants. If you want to focus on classical, we can focus on classical. If you need more emphasis on rhythmn or theory, we can make more emphasis on those things. This all depends on each student. I like to really make sure that the music theory is well covered, because my hope as your piano teacher is that someday you'll be able to read sheet music and perform songs you learn on your own.
