Michael Bui

My name is Michael.  I've been a stay-at-home Dad for the past 4 years.  I have five awesome kids, ranging in age from 4 to 16.  We moved from the east coast to Texas where it is ridiculously hot right now.  One of my biggest challenges, also one of my favorite things to do, is teaching my kids what I know.  I want to share what I know with others which is why I'm here now.

I graduated in 2003 from Longwood University in Virginia with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry.  While I love the sciences, I excel in math.  I tutored math while in high school and in college.  I was in advanced math all throughout elementary and high school.  I took college level calculus in high school but, since I know not everyone will want or need that level of math, my focus is K-9 math which is the level where all of my kids are now.

I'm patient and go with your flow.  We all  make mistakes so if you make one, it's ok.  I will instruct and will do my best to make sure you understand concepts before moving on.  I like repetition and feel it's the best way to make sure something is learned so be prepared to do things over and over again.
