About

Progress, and the rewards it unlocks, is my motivation. In my time studying at NYU, to earn a Bachelor of Music degree, followed by attending Cleveland Institute of Music for masters school, I have learned a lot about performing and teaching cello music. As a concert cellist, I have toured the world and had the honor of performing in great halls including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Severance Hall, and annually at the Walt Disney Concert Hall the past few years. My travels have made me appreciate the world, and most especially California. Using my traditional cello knowledge and Suzuki Methodology, I earn my most proud moments, which come from progressing the skills of young cellists at my Southern California home. If learning cello with its wonderful tone or discovering the logical magic of Music Theory seems interesting, I will gladly be your guide!

I learned traditionally from a variety of great teachers including Richard Weiss, assistant principal of the Cleveland Orchestra, and John Walz, principal of Los Angeles Opera. At Cleveland Institute of Music I earned a dual masters degree in performance and Suzuki Methodology.

BM from New York University
MM from Cleveland Institute of Music

I utilize my cello performance experience and Suzuki method to provide my students a rigorous yet fun educational experience. I believe in taking notes, being patient to give time for logic, and trusting the ears.
