Michelle Boyd

Michelle Boyd is a Master Spinner, weaver, and writer who lives in Olds, Alberta, which is located in the Treaty Seven region of Canada. She has been teaching spinning for twenty years, including twelve years as an instructor for the Olds College Master Spinner Program. While her approach to spinning is grounded in the technical side of the craft, she is still enchanted by the magic of twisting fibres into yarn. Michelle also writes about spinning and yarn and is a frequent contributor to both PLY Magazine and Digits & Threads. Her first book about spinning will be released by PLY Books in 2024.
