About

Hello! My name is Michelle Gaddi and I would love to be your son or daughter's music teacher! I am specifically offering beginning classical piano classes that are focused on key locations, finger positioning, scales, reading notes and symbols on sheet music, and timing.  I love teaching music and also offer a FREE 15 minute trial piano assessment for NEW students. Before LessonFace, I taught piano online on a different platform for 6 months and successfully taught 40 students. My feedback/reviews were ALL positive with nothing but 5/5 ratings!

I grew up with music, sang and played classical piano for 30 years and have been involved with church music for 23 years and counting. I served as the Music Director at my church for 6 years, which included teaching piano to interested students. I continue to serve in music ministry at my church as a worship leader, piano player and vocalist.  I also authored and published a book on Amazon.com called "How to be a Music Ministry Director" by Michelle Grace Gaddi.

I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and multiple studies show a correlation between music and brain health/wellness. I would feel honored to not only be your child's music teacher, but also take part in their brain health, development and growth.

Some fun facts about me is that I played Mother Abbess, the Reverend Mother, in my high school musical of "The Sound of Music." I also accompanied my high school choir on the piano for some of our performances and went to Shrewsbury, England for 10 days after high school graduation because we were invited to perform at a choir festival there.  I've been happily married for 14 years with 2 daughters, ages 10 and 12.

My teaching style is very hands on and participatory, but my expectation is that your child practices at least 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week at home. I will give your child the necessary tools needed, but in order to be a good musician, practice is very important!

I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from California State University, Bakersfield. Multiple studies show a correlation between music and brain health/wellness, so I feel that I am not only a music teacher, but also a teacher who would take part in my students' brain health, development and growth.

I use the Wunderkeys piano curriculum for ages 5-9 and Hal Leonard's "Piano for Teens" by Jennifer Linn for my beginning piano classes for ages 10-14.
