Morgan Wick
About
I began playing guitar at the age of 12. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance. I have performed with a variety of ensembles and bands in many different styles, including Rock, Metal, Blues, Funk, Fusion, Small Combo and Big Band Jazz, Classical Guitar ensembles, Jazz choirs and concert choirs. In the last few years I have performed with dozens of ensembles across the Pacific Northwest. I am also an aspiring composer, having written dozens of compositions for Rock bands, Jazz combos, choirs, and string ensembles. I have been playing guitar for 15 years.
I have been teaching Guitar for the past 10 years. I have primarily taught privately but have also worked for a few private music schools. I am experienced in teaching students of all ages and abilities. I am also well-versed in a variety of styles: Classical, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and even a little Country.
Teaching Style
As a teacher my goal is to help my students advance their abilities and develop an understanding and love for music. I expect a lot from my students but also strive to make learning the guitar fun and rewarding. I create personal lessons for each student to help them achieve their specific goals as a musician. I'd love to share my knowledge with you--let's get started!
