Greetings!

I'm a professional composer who teaches beginning strings, electric bass, and piano. In the past, I have taught privately in person and online, as a licensed long-term substitute teacher in public schools grades K-12, as a college peer tutor, and as a teaching artist.

Teaching Style

I like to start out getting to know the goals of each student.

Each lesson begins with reviewing knowledge from the last lesson. This includes scales, arpeggios, and mastered songs.

Then, the lesson ends with a preview of next week. I always encourage you to surpass my recommended stopping point.

For this reason, I modify my teaching style based on your needs as student at any given moment.
