Myrto Stavrakidou-Zachou
About
Hi, I'm Myrto!
I believe that music is for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or natural ability.
One of the biggest misconceptions about singing is that you either "have it" or you don't. I don't believe that's true. While every voice is unique, healthy technique, musicality, confidence, and artistic expression can all be developed with the right guidance and a supportive environment.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Classical Violin and a Diploma in Classical Voice with Honors. Alongside my teaching career, I actively perform as both a violinist and singer in orchestras, theatre productions, vocal ensembles, and contemporary music projects.
Over the past several years, I have taught children, teenagers, adults, actors, and aspiring performers. Some of my students are preparing for auditions or professional careers, while others simply want to sing or play the violin for the joy of making music. Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you there.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. I take time to understand each student's personality, goals, strengths, and learning style so that every lesson feels engaging, encouraging, and effective.
My goal is not only to help you develop strong technique, but also to help you build confidence, express yourself freely, and enjoy the learning process. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where students feel safe to explore their potential.
Beyond private lessons, I founded my own vocal ensemble and created a polyphony workshop for actors, helping performers develop ensemble singing skills and stage confidence through collaborative music-making.
Whether you're taking your very first lesson, preparing for an audition, or looking to grow as a musician, I'd be delighted to support you on your journey.
Lessons are available in English and Greek.
Teaching Style
Every student is unique, so I never follow exactly the same lesson plan with everyone. I take time to understand each student's goals, experience, personality, and preferred way of learning, allowing me to tailor every lesson to their individual needs.
I believe that people learn best when they feel safe, supported, and free to experiment without fear of judgment. My lessons combine solid technical training with creativity, curiosity, and practical musical experience. Whether we're working on vocal technique, violin playing, audition preparation, or performance skills, I encourage students to ask questions, explore their artistic voice, and enjoy the learning process.
For singers, I focus on developing healthy vocal technique while helping each student discover their authentic voice. I work with complete beginners, experienced singers, actors preparing for auditions, and anyone who wants to build confidence through singing.
For violin students, I combine technical development with musical expression, helping students build strong foundations while making music enjoyable and rewarding.
Above all, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and excited to return to each lesson.
Curriculum
My teaching method is student-centered, supportive, and goal-oriented. Every lesson is carefully adapted to each student's experience, learning style, and personal goals. Rather than following a fixed method for everyone, I combine technical training with creativity, musical expression, and practical application.
For voice students, we work on healthy vocal technique, breathing, posture, musicality, interpretation, and building confidence. I believe that singing is a skill that can be developed, and I help students overcome fear and discover their own authentic voice.
For violin students, I focus on developing a solid technical foundation while encouraging expressive and enjoyable music-making. Technique and artistry go hand in hand.
I recommend my lessons for:
• Complete beginners who want to start in a supportive environment.
• Adults who have always wanted to sing or play the violin but never had the opportunity.
• Intermediate and advanced students looking to improve their technique and musical expression.
• Actors and performers preparing for auditions or professional work.
• Anyone who wants to gain confidence, enjoy music, and grow at their own pace.
My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more capable, and inspired to continue their musical journey.
