About

With over a decade of experience in music education, I've pursued both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Teaching and Performing Arts (Cello) from the esteemed Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, graduating as an honor student. As the former Principal Committee member at Hamazkayin Music School, I oversaw the school's operations and contributed to its growth and success. Additionally, I served as a cello teacher at Hamazkayin Music School and Antonine Music School, imparting comprehensive instruction in cello performance to aspiring musicians. At Antonine University, I held the role of Chamber Music Teacher, guiding students in exploring the intricacies of ensemble playing and musical collaboration.

My journey in teaching cello began with practical training sessions at the renowned Tchaikovsky Music School in Armenia. Throughout my career, I've shared my passion for music through comprehensive instruction and leadership roles. I've also contributed to the Systema US-based organization, teaching students in groups and training them in orchestral settings.

My musical accomplishments extend beyond teaching. I've participated in concerts across several countries, winning a Deputy First Prize in an international music competition and receiving the Grand Prize at the Virtuoso Competition in Paris. I've had the privilege of attending masterclasses with renowned cellists, including Raphael Wallfisch and Victor Julien-Laferrière, enriching my musical proficiency.

Furthermore, I serve as the Principal Cellist and committee member of Les Cordes Resonnantes, a Lebanese-based chamber music ensemble, where we organize yearly concerts to showcase our passion for chamber music and promote musical excellence within the community. Additionally, I've recorded a pedagogical album titled "The Little Cellist," aimed at nurturing the talents of young cello students. Currently, I am expanding my musical horizons by pursuing studies in Baroque cello at the Conservatorio Guido Cantelli di Novara in Italy. My dedication to music education and performance continues to drive me to new heights of excellence.

My teaching method is comprehensive and adaptive, tailored to the individual needs of each student. With a student-centered approach, I prioritize their goals and aspirations while fostering technical proficiency and artistic expression. I draw from a diverse range of experiences, incorporating innovative techniques and adapting to various learning environments. My supportive yet challenging style encourages students to strive for excellence while nurturing their passion for music.

My teaching approach blends various methods, focusing on making learning enjoyable and progressive. Initially, I use Suzuki, Sevcik, and Chavushyan methods to establish fundamentals. As students progress, I introduce musical pieces alongside scale and etude techniques. Advanced students are exposed to sonatas, concertos, and Bach suites as they reach appropriate levels. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded development of technical skills and musical understanding.
