Nairy Ghazarian

With over a decade of experience in music education and performance, I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors in Teaching and Performing Arts (Cello) from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan. I have recently completed my Bachelor's Degree in Baroque Cello at the Conservatorio "Guido Cantelli" di Novara under the guidance of Professor Gaetano Nasillo and am currently continuing my Master's Degree in Baroque Cello, specializing in Historically Informed Performance.

My teaching experience spans students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to advanced musicians. I have taught at Hamazkayin Music School, Antonine Music School, Antonine University, and the U.S.-based Sistema program, where I worked with individual students, chamber groups, and orchestral ensembles. My approach combines strong technical foundations with musical expression, adapting each lesson to the individual goals and learning style of every student.

Alongside my teaching career, I have performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral cellist throughout Europe and the Middle East. I am the Principal Cellist and committee member of Les Cordes Résonnantes, a chamber music ensemble dedicated to promoting classical music through concerts and educational projects.

As a performer specializing in both modern and Baroque cello, I have had the privilege of studying and participating in masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians, including Raphael Wallfisch, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Ryo Terakado, Judy Tarling, Chiara Banchini, Lucile Boulanger, William Dongois, Fabio Bonizzoni, and Deda Cristina Colonna, experiences that have deeply shaped my artistic and pedagogical approach.

My artistic work has been recognized through several international awards, including the Grand Prize at the Virtuoso Competition in Paris. I am also the creator of The Little Cellist, a pedagogical recording project designed to inspire and support young cello students through carefully selected educational repertoire.

My teaching method is comprehensive and adaptive, tailored to the individual needs of each student. I draw from a diverse range of experiences, incorporating innovative techniques and adapting to various learning environments. My supportive yet challenging style encourages students to strive for excellence while nurturing their passion for music.
