Nam Joti Kaur Khalsa

Nam Joti Kaur Khalsa, who learned this traditional American broom making technique from her teacher, Karen Hobbs. Karen Hobbs was a long time student of John Campbell Folk School who instilled her love of basket weaving and broom making in dozens of students across the country. Nam studied with Karen for 18 months before she passed in 2019, and dedicates every broom she has made to her teacher. Nam Joti has been weaving brooms for the past seven years and sells her goods locally in the Texas Hill Country and on her website bluecypressschool.org
