About
My name is Naomi and I am a 27 year old female residing in Mandurah, WA. I have been been playing the flute and piano for over 20 years, and teaching for 10 years. I studied Classical Performance Music at the University of Western Australia. I teach up to Grade 8 flute & Grade 6 piano.
Teaching Style
As a classically trained flautist & pianist, I have indepth experience with preparing students for AMEB (Australian music examination board) Exams, scholarships and performances (orchestras, musicals and solo concerts). I believe technical exercises, scales and aural training helps to develop the core fundamentals in musical development. I would be focusing on technique along side teaching pieces so my students can develop their ability efficiently.
Curriculum
I believe music should be enjoyed, therefore my lessons will always be fun. I am an exuberant young woman with a huge passion for music, which is evident in my teaching! I recommend following the AMEB method however depending on the individuals needs, I will tailor personal programs to suit what my students are wanting to achieve.
