About

Please reach out to inquire about lesson time availablility.

Hello! My name is Nathan. I am a professional musician and have taught music students since 2010.

As a solo performer, I am a singer-songwriter, pianist, and organist. My original music is pretty eclectic, but generally falls into the Christian and Jazz genres. In October 2025, I released my first full album of original songs, titled "He Who Saves."

I also have an active career in church music. I am currently serving as Director of Music Ministries at Central United Methodist Church of Monroe, NC. At Central UMC, I have the privilege of directing the choir, leading the praise team, and playing the pipe organ and piano, as well as leading other groups like the Handbell Choir.

Last but not least, I occasionally work in music theatre on the side, and have worked as director, vocal coach, and/or accompanist for shows like The Little Shop of Horrors, Willy Wonka Jr., and Once on This Island. In a similar vein, I occasionally work with show choirs and concert choirs.

Teaching Style

I combine advanced musical knowledge with an easy-going and approachable teaching style. Lessons are carefully tailored to the skill level and goals of each individual student. This allows students to learn quickly without ever being overwhelmed!
