Panagiotis Andreoglou is a versatile musician whose main instrument is the accordion, but who also plays and teaches the piano, conducts school orchestras and makes new orchestrations for them.

Panagiotis was born in Kavala, Greece. He focuses on the performance of contemporary music. Through collaborations with composers, he has premiered more than 30 new works for accordion in concerts throughout Europe and in the United States.

He completed his postgraduate studies on accordion at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2011.

In 2017 he was awarded the Fulbright Artist scholarship and he implemented research on works that combine accordion and electronics at Bowling Green State University (Ohio). He has given lectures on contemporary accordion techniques at universities and contemporary music festivals in Europe and the US (University of Iowa, Bowling Green State University, Latvian Music Academy,  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, outHEAR New Music Week)

He is member of the folk band “Grikanta” where he plays folk music from South Italy. He currently teaches the piano, the accordion and conducts the European music orchestra at the Music School of Veria.

I like to work with students of every age and I am open to hear their musical interests and adjust the lessons in order to meet their individual needs.

As an accordion and piano teacher at public music schools, I work mostly with teenagers, but I have also had younger students as well as adults. I believe that every student has their own individual needs and aesthetic preferences and the best way to guide them into music is to take these unique qualities into serious consideration.

The accordion has a wide repertoire that spreads from Greek traditional and folk music, to music of South Italy, Argentinian tango, valses from different countries and eras to transcriptions of baroque and classical music as well as a fast growing new repertoire especially written for the instrument which compliments the accordion and makes it express its full sound potential. I have performed this widely various repertoire either solo or when participating in different music groups during the last 15 years of my performing career and I am eager to teach all these kinds of music to my students.

On the piano, I teach the standard repertoire of the classical piano studies, as well as pop and rock piano music and transcriptions of literary any kind of music that can be played Andon this amazingly versatile polyphonic instrument which is the piano.
