About

My name is Patryk Górecki — I’m a singer‑songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, composer, and music producer from Poland. Music has been a part of my life since childhood. I graduated from the Artur Rubinstein State Music School in Bydgoszcz and continued my studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music, which gave me a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary music.

I began my artistic journey in the early 2000s as the vocalist, guitarist, lyricist, and co‑founder of the band BDG. After a break from performing, I returned to creating music as a solo artist, releasing original songs such as Dotknij mnie and Lux Mundi, and composing music for the theatre production Ocalony przez poezję, based on the poetry of Jerzy Kozarzewski.

In 2023, I composed music inspired by Polish poetry, which led to the release of my 2025 album Dolina Jaśminu. I’m currently working on my new album Dwanaście Słów, exploring a sound that blends acoustic ballads, indie folk, indie rock, and ambient‑influenced textures.

Alongside my artistic work, I’ve been teaching since 2014. Through my educational channels JMP Akademia and JMP Academy, I’ve created hundreds of lessons on guitar, music theory, and creative musicianship. My materials have helped thousands of students — from complete beginners to advanced players — understand music in a clear, structured, and inspiring way.

What you can expect from my lessons

If you want to build solid fundamentals, improve your guitar playing, understand music more deeply, or develop your own artistic voice, I’ll guide you through every step of the journey.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is built on clarity, structure, and proven methods that I’ve developed over more than 20 years of teaching and performing. I combine solid music‑theory knowledge with practical, hands‑on guitar techniques, helping students understand not only how to play, but also why music works the way it does.

I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, musical steps. Whether we’re working on acoustic or electric guitar, rhythm, lead playing, or the foundations of music theory, I always adapt the pace and material to your individual goals and learning style.

I believe that every student can grow with the right guidance, so my lessons are supportive, patient, and encouraging. I teach through real musical examples, creative exercises, and techniques that I’ve used myself as a songwriter, guitarist, and producer.

You’ll learn not just to repeat shapes or patterns, but to truly understand music — so you can express yourself confidently, creatively, and with your own voice.
