About
I´m very passionate about music so I always loved to talk about music with people who are interested to listen or have a conversation. Over my 10 years as a musician, I always have been helping peers and teaching people what I learned of music theory. I believe that every musician has a definitive perspective, a vision of what music they want to create, and a unique taste & genre. That is why I want to share the ability to create music because I believe every person should know how to create or play music. I always make sure to understand my student´s goals when teaching and know the music genre they want to compose or create. I believe is the most effective to help students individually to get inspired, study, and practice to learn the necessary technics & theories to achieve it. I can help students learn to compose either live acoustic music or digital music production.
It all depends on what the student knows and what the student wants to learn.
Through all my experience, I practice and study: music composition, music theory, jazz studies, songwriting, arrangement, music history, digital music production, audio engineering at music performances, mixing & mastering music, recording, sound design, singing, freestyle rapping, tutoring and music performance within different music genres. I don’t have a musical genre I don’t like, I worked with different genres and even make fusions of genres. I believe all genres of music brings something to the table and a new perspective. I also have worked with talented musicians, learned from great teachers, and learned the production of music in professional studios.
I have had a lot of people I thought and helped in either composition or production and I always enjoyed seeing my students evolve in their music skills, always approaching the lessons based on the student level and their goals.
I worked with a lot of musicians but the ones I can recommend listening to is my work in the album of ¨theycallmericky¨ - Bloom. Where not only I masted the whole album, I have 3 songs that are my composition and production (Oh No/Seasons, How it feels like & For you). I also worked with the musician "Ego" on 3 songs in the production and one remix (Intro feat. Kidd Dox and Connor Mannebach, M-pwr feat. Nati B, Visions feat. Campju & Dangerus - Opa Orus Remix)
Besides working with other people and other people´s music, I also have my own independent music. My artist's name is Opa Orus and I have some music on Soundcloud as well on Youtube. I have been working for years on my first album but it's not done yet.
I learned classical and contemporary music composition, so I´ll include traditional training with contemporary examples. I have in my personal library great books I can recommend but also providing free online reading material or musical examples. I always enjoyed analyzing music, so I will provide exercises with music students enjoy or songs I believe will be good to study for understanding concepts in the lessons.
