About

I am a classical pianist and theory graduate with a piano, harmony, counterpoint and fugue diploma from the Municipal Conservatory of Larisa, Greece. I have been teaching beginners and intermediate students for a couple of years now, and I'm looking to branch out online! I have previous experience teaching piano in private lessons,  from complete beginners up to the last 2 ABRSM Grades. With regards to theory, I have taught from complete beginners until the harmony diploma and a bit further with Gradus Ad Parnassum for Counterpoint, and three- or four-voice fugues. I have accompanied vocalists, choir and instrumental music at the Church of St. Nicholas in Larisa, where I taught  I have won two First National Prizes in piano competitions in Greece[National Piano Competition of Larisa(2014,2016)], and the above mentioned theoretical diplomas are all obtained with the note ''Excellent''.

Teaching Style

I am open to hear about your specific goals for this class, and we can adjust the course according to your liking. Especially in music, every student is truly different than the rest. Our lesson will be at the start an exchange of ideas and an explanation of the concepts, then we go on to the exercises and after to the small, but inevitable amount of homework! I am open to questions, disagreements and I will gladly clarify the concepts whenever it is necessary. The only thing I require is your will to learn and understand music better!

Curriculum

For piano, I will send you pdf's of the works we will study. The curriculum is not fixed, but we form it together according to your previous level and goals.

For all theoretical courses, I will recommend books, sometimes we will work with scanned photocopies of my own, or my own exercises. Again, the curriculum, from beginner theory, to harmony, to fugue varies substantially.
