About

I have been a professional musician since graduating with a bachelors degree in jazz studies/saxophone performance from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2010.  Being adept in every style of music, I bring a wealth of real world knowledge and experience to the table.  I have lived and worked in and around the Cincinnati, OH area since, performing on all saxophones, flute and clarinet in local bands as well as national touring acts.  I have had the honor of holding the 2nd alto chair in the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra since 2013 and tour with them every year, under the direction of trumpeter Mike Vax.  During that time I was a soloist on a Grammy considered album, "Storming Through The South" (2016).  I have taught masterclasses throughout the country alongside the saxophone section from the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra, and have one year of experience teaching private lessons to local students.  I have 2 years of experience working on cruise ships in the house orchestra, backing up entertainers from all over the world as well as performing broadway-like musical productions.  I am a self-employed arranger writing charts for cruise ship entertainers and have been growing that business solely through word-of-mouth recommendations amongst the entertainers themselves.  Mainly focusing on writing for full rhythm secion + up to 5 horns.  While at CCM I performed in the pit orchestra for such classic broadway productions of Wonderful Town, The Full Monty, and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

My goal with every student is to create a fun and safe learning enviroment.  I want to help you achieve your goals and progress on your instrument.  A clear path of goals will be set in the first lesson, and I will help you to achieve those goals within the given timeline.  I'm easy to talk to, and always encourage questions!  Music is demanding, but should be fun - and you'll only get out of it what you put in.  I am here to help guide you every step of the way!
