About

I have many years of teaching experience in addition to an international performing career in venues as Berlin Konzerthaus and London Cadogan Hall and solid education from the Indiana University Bloomington and in Germany.

I obtained a Konzertexamen, the highest degree for violin performance in Germany as I worked as a Teacher's Assistant after earning my Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Over the years of my training, I worked with many Grammy-nominated and world-renowned musicians like the concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic.

I have continued my performing career since I was 14 years old in America, Europe,  Asia and in the Middle East, performing extensively in classical venues, such as the Berlin Konzerthaus, Munich Hercules Hall, and Cadogan Hall in London, home of the Royal Philharmonic. I took part in CD recordings with the Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz and the Mainzer Virtuosi, and featured as a soloist for a performance of Mozart Violin COncerto No. 4 for the Rheinhessen TV broadcasting.

As an active educator, I have taught violin and mentored students in public schools and music academies including the IU String Academy and the state music academy of Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany. Not only have I taught one-on-one violin lessons from the beginning to advanced level of ages 4 through 65+ for more than a decade, but I also have directed string ensembles as Korean-American Youth Orchestra and led violin group lessons for the families in the US Military in Germany as well as in projects like the Fairview Violin Project (https://music.indiana.edu/precollege/year-round/fairview-violin-project/research/the-fairview-violin-project.shtml).

Music is a valued part of my life and it is my great joy to share my passion with interested students and help them.

I structure each student's lessons tailored to his/her goals and needs.  As a teacher, I aim to instill love of learning and clearly analyze and effectively instruct . I encourage and I demonstrate with my own playing and guide with efficient practicing routines.
