Quentin Singer

Having over 16 years experience as a guitarist and 5 years as a guitar tutor, I've developed a teaching method based on 3 simple tenants that I provide my students, regardless of their skill level: Patience, Enthusiasm, and Structure.

Patience: Guitar can be a difficult instrument to start learning and as teacher the last thing I'd want to do is overwhelm a student in the classroom or with practice material. 

Enthusiasm: There's no better feeling than learning to play music that you're passionate about. As a guitar teacher I make it a requirement that my students are learning music they personally enjoy and feel passionate about, because there's nothing worse than learning music that doesn't inspire or electify you with enthusiasm.

Structure: Having been a guitar student once myself, there's nothing worse than starting lessons with a brand new teacher and that teacher begins every lesson by asking the student, "what do you want to learn?" Over my career as a musician I've had a number of great and less than great guitar teachers, and the less than great teachers always seem to rely soley on the student for structuruing their lessons. Every lesson I teach I bring a fully structured lesson catered to the student's interests, goals, and experience level.
